Tow truck driver dies in Willoughby pileup (OH) 10.18.24

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio (WJW) – Willoughby police are investigating a deadly pileup crash.

 

According to a press release from the police department, the incident happened on Thursday on State Route 2 around 4 p.m.

 

Police say the driver of a flatbed tow truck rear-ended a plumbing truck. Both the plumbing truck and the flatbed both then crashed into additional vehicles.

 

The tow truck driver had to be extracted from the vehicle. Police say he died at the hospital. The victim has not been identified.
