TowForce Posted 5 hours ago Share Posted 5 hours ago PIEDMONT, S.C. — Photos of a crash on I-85 in Upstate South Carolina show a mangled vehicle, a BMW and a tow truck after a driver stopped to help a disabled vehicle, officials said. According to the Powdersville Fire Department, their crews were called at 3:55 a.m., along with crews from Wren Fire Department 24, to I-85 southbound at mile marker 39 for a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment. That location is in Piedmont. Powdersville Fire Department - Fire officials said South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers were at the scene assisting with a BMW that was disabled and still in the roadway. They said a passerby in a tow truck stopped to assist but minutes later got struck by another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was pinned against the steering column but was able to be freed quickly, according to fire crews.
