Elite Towing of South Carolina has announced its partnership with Tim’s Towing of Savannah, Georgia, in the strategic acquisition of Walt’s Wrecker Service LLC of Jacksonville, Florida, further strengthening their ability to serve large commercial customers and law enforcement agencies with towing, recovery and transportation requirements across the Southeastern United States.

“The 80-year history of Walt’s Wrecker Service, supporting numerous police and state agencies as well as commercial clients in Jacksonville, Florida, provides a strong foundation for the partnerships’ expansion into the state of Florida,” a press release announcing the acquisition states. “Throughout its history in Northeastern Florida, Walt’s has been a strong player in heavy- and light-duty towing, recovery and heavy haul transport services.

“Elite Towing and Tim’s Towing are excited that this acquisition will both carry on the legacy of Walt’s while also helping to further grow the business with the resources of both large towing providers. With the combined experience from Elite and Tim’s, the long-standing family traditions of excellent customer service, reliability, and safety for which Walt’s Wrecker Service is known will continue to thrive.”

The network of companies covers three of the largest ports on the East Coast: Charleston, Savannah and Jacksonville, and services companies along the I-95 corridor from Daytona Beach, Florida, to Florence, South Carolina, and I- 26 from Columbia, South Carolina, to Charleston, South Carolina, and along I-16 from Dublin, Georgia to Savannah, Georgia.
