TowForce
Aggressive Tow Truck Operator Waits to Pounce in McDonald’s Parking Lot Parking is a Premium in many cases and the signage is often properly displayed. rreschran
It's important for tow companies and their operators to understand the PPI laws in which they practice. Some state's PPI laws require vehicles to be lifted with safety chains and extension lights applied to be "Hookup Ready." If not, the vehicle is to be released no charge. Other states say the towed vehicle must be off the private property for the tower to be in-possession of the impound. In California, if the tow company is proved to have conducted an "illegal tow", the owner could be due up to two times the amount of the tow. If overcharged, the tow company could be liable for up to four times the amount. Quote Randall C. Resch
