Did a State Police call the other day for a Ram 5500 service truck that hit a car that stopped abruptly to make a left turn...

 

 

Blasted a Volvo pretty hard...

 

 

I had towed this truck before with my last 550/408 and it kicked my but...not doing that again so I went with the big truck. These trucks can be so deceiving....

I love my 3212 16 ton wrecker for these. i know a lot of heavy companies don't have a medium duty but the tight areas these work trucks get into I sure can't get my heavy into these places.  Like a lot of 16 - 26' box trucks making deliveries to small businesses and restaurants etc I love my 16 ton for those jobs and even where some guys take a bobtail home in a tiny lot etc.

Yea I miss our medium duty....I want to build another one for stuff like this.

I spoke with the owner today about it and I told him the bottom line was this truck is so heavy...his guy just couldn't stop in a short period. They deleted the truck and in messing with it, disabled the anti lock brakes. It left 75' of skid marks before it hit the car....
