TowForce
'The barriers are there for a reason:' Vehicles in floodwaters keep tow truck drivers busy HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A day after a massive deluge in the region, Wednesday's blue sky and sunshine did not guarantee safety. Banner Farm Road remained flooded well after the rain subsided, and the underwater current was strong enough to sweep away a vehicle attempting to do a three-point turn late Wednesday morning. “Even if you got a jacked-up truck, I just pulled a jacked-up Sequoyah out of Howard Gap last night," Rakk Towing and Recovery owner Darryell Rash said. "Water in the intake, and now the motor is locked up.” Rash said he's been busy since the rain started Tuesday. He told a News 13 crew this was recovery number six in less than 24 hours. The car slid into the ditch well past the "do not pass" sign. “The barriers are there for a reason,” Rash said. Rash said he waded through the water that came up to his calves at times before successfully pulling the SUV out of the ditch. https://wlos.com/news/local/the-barriers-are-there-for-a-reason-vehicles-in-floodwaters-keep-tow-truck-drivers-busy
