TowZone
Two persons have been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a tow truck driver who was repossessing a vehicle from an Old Coach Road resident on Monday afternoon. Poway Sheriff’s Lt. Christopher Collier said the tow truck driver was in the process of taking the vehicle outside a home on the 16900 block when its owner, Joseph Silva, 46, confronted the driver. As the driver tried to leave with Silva’s vehicle, Silva fired one shot from a shotgun, Collier said. The shot did not injure the driver, he said. Both Silva and the tow driver were still on the scene when deputies arrived, Collier said. Silva was taken into custody and was booked at the county jail on suspicion of attempted murder and other felony charges, including firearms offenses and drug possession, the lieutenant said. Silva’s companion, Bonnie Baker, 28, was present during the altercation and was arrested Wednesday on several felony charges related to the Monday afternoon incident, according to Collier. The case has been submitted to the district attorney for prosecution, Collier said. RESOURCE LINK
